The wait is over. Southern Soul just got a bold new voice. Rising artist Big Chad Reed makes his powerful debut with the highly anticipated single “Outside Tonight,” available now on all major streaming platforms.
Hailing from Augusta, GA, and raised on the quiet dirt roads of Brooklet, Chad’s music is steeped in the heart and soul of the South. After moving to Clarksville, TN as a teenager, his musical palette grew to include blues, country, R&B, and Southern soul—genres that now define his rich, genre-blending sound. Though his journey has taken him across state lines, Chad’s roots remain planted in Georgia, where visits to his father and memories of home continue to shape his artistry.
“Outside Tonight” blends classic Southern Soul storytelling with a fresh, contemporary groove and a vocal performance full of emotion and grit. It’s a personal anthem about release, reconnection, and the joy of letting go after a long week.
“This one’s for everybody who’s been working hard all week and just needs a reason to celebrate,” says Big Chad Reed. “Ain’t nothing like vibin’ with your people and making memories.”
Chad began quietly honing his craft years ago, but it wasn’t until 2024 that he fully stepped into the spotlight—partnering with respected producer DJ Toomp and creative collective 88Soul to take his sound to the next level. The result is a debut single that’s as raw and real as it is undeniably soulful.
With roots in gospel, blues, country, and R&B, Big Chad Reed brings a rare blend of vulnerability, and authenticity. His music resonates with everyday people and reflects the lived experiences that make Southern Soul timeless.
